A Celebration of Pentecost
"When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place" [Acts 2:1]
A Prayer for Help
O Lord my God, you are my refuge and my strength. You are my ever-present help in times of trouble. When it seems like my world is crumbling around me and I am thrown by the storms of life, take away my fear.
Remind me Lord that you are always with me, you will never leave or forsake me.
Please help me in this time of need.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Pope Francis Calls on World to Pray Together on March 25 Feast of the Annunciation
Pope Francis has called for all Christians throughout the world to join in praying the Our Father on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at noon.
He made the appeal after praying the noonday Angelus on March 22, broadcast from Apostolic Library in the Vatican.
The Pope also announced that on the following Friday, March 27, he will preside over a moment of prayer on the sagrato of St Peter’s Basilica, the platform at the top of the steps immediately in front of the façade of the Church, reported Vatican News.
Fifth Lenten Sermon 2017 : "The Righteousness of God has been Manifested"
The Holy Spirit, who, as we saw in the preceding meditations, leads us into the fullness of truth about the person of Christ and his paschal mystery, also enlightens us on a crucial aspect of our faith in Christ, that is, on how we obtain in the Church today the salvation Christ accomplished for us. In other words, the Holy Spirit enlightens us on the important question of justification by faith for sinners. I believe that trying to shed light on history and on the current state of that discussion is the most useful way to make the anniversary of the Fifth Centenary of the Protestant Reformation an occasion of grace and reconciliation for the whole Church.
